During the 1970s, Patek Philippe moved away from the classical Calatrava case and the Bauhaus-influenced design language of the preceding 40 years. The decade’s more rectangular cases and bold geometric shapes, from the work of Gérald Genta to Gilbert Albert, redefined the watch industry.

The 3733/1G is a clear example of this shift: a ribbed rectangular case that flows seamlessly into an integrated bracelet of matching design.
What sets this piece apart is its lapis lazuli dial: a deep cobalt blue with fine gold flecks throughout, in excellent condition. A matching lapis lazuli cabochon crown completes the look.

Inside is Patek Philippe’s calibre 215, the workhorse hand-wound movement of the era, finished to Poinçon de Genève standard with Côtes de Genève decoration and black-polished (poli noir) chamfers and screws.
The watch has recently been serviced by Patek Philippe and is in excellent condition throughout, with sharp, well-defined case hallmarks and accurate timekeeping. The bracelet measures 170mm and can be extended to fit a wrist of approximately 175mm. It is accompanied by an Extract from the Archives and a leather Patek Philippe watch roll.
